Note: in preliminary non-Timezone adjusted Nielsen Fast Nationals, Alabama/LSU averaged 8.4 million viewers. But the meat of the game — the fourth quarter and overtime — went well past primetime. While the metered market numbers below are timezone adjusted, it appears they too are only for the 8-11p portion of the game (translation: final numbers likely much, much better).

CBS Sports’ doubleheader broadcast of the SEC ON CBS on Saturday, Nov. 8 , which saw No. 5 Alabama beat No. 16 LSU, 20-13 in overtime in prime time, earned an average overnight household rating/share of 5.3/10, and Texas A&M’s 41-38 upset win over No. 3 Auburn earned a HH rating/share of 4.5/10. The two SEC ON CBS games were the two highest-rated college football games of the day.
