The NASCAR Sprint Cup coverage from Sonoma, California easily led Sunday’s cable sports programming averaging 3.723 million viewers. The Fox Sports Live that aired after the race averaged 2.168 million. Rain-gapped coverage of the Chicago Cubs vs St. Louis Cardinals Sunday Night Baseball game on ESPN averaged 1.16 million viewers. USA’s 1-0 victory over China in the quarterfinals of the Women’s World Cup averaged 5.7 million viewers.
