Giants-Cubs Game 2 averages an MLB Network record 4.6 million viewers


The Chicago Cubs win over the San Francisco Giants in the NLDS averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 2.5 household rating, both easily records for MLB Network. The previous record was 1.8 million viewers for Giants-Nationals NLDS in 2014.

The game peaked with a 2.9 household rating and 5.2 million viewers from 10-10:15 p.m. ET.

The game delivered an 18.8 rating in Chicago and an 11.9 in San Francisco. Per MLB Network PR the local San Francisco ratings is up 80% from the aforementioned Giants-Nationals game in 2014.
