Saturday’s Iron Bowl averaged 13.529 million viewers, making it the most-watched game on any network this college football season. It was the most-watched and highest-rated (7.4) regular season college football game on record for ESPN (since 1990). Earlier in the season Notre Dame vs. Florida State averaged 13.251 million on ABC so the Disney-owned nets own the top two games of the season so far.

Last night’s Iron Bowl where Alabama defeated Auburn 55-44 drew a 7.2 household rating on ESPN. That tied the record for best overnight rating for a regular season game on ESPN (with USC vs. Ohio State in 2009).
The Philadelphia Eagles blewout the Dallas Cowboys in the late afternoon Thanksgiving game, but despite the blowout the 15.0 household rating was Fox’s best Thanksgiving showing since 2011 (Packers/Lions) and the best involving the Cowboys since 1998 (vs. Vikings).
