Alabama/LSU Overtime Thriller Averages 9.1 Million Viewers on CBS
Alabama’s dramatic victory over LSU on Saturday night averaged 9.109 million viewers and a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating for CBS. That easily surpassed Ohio St. vs. Michigan State in head-to-head competition. The Big 10 game averaged 6.825M viewers and a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating for ABC.

Note: in preliminary non-Timezone adjusted Nielsen Fast Nationals, Alabama/LSU averaged 8.4 million viewers. But the meat of the game — the fourth quarter and overtime — went well past primetime. While the metered market numbers below are timezone adjusted, it appears they too are only for the 8-11p portion of the game (translation: final numbers likely much, much better). CBS press notes:
