Update: per ESPN The game averaged 26.029 million across its networks (includes MegaCasts) and streaming. Per ESPN, Clemson-Alabama drew a combined (includes Megacasts on ESPN2 & ESPNU) 15.3 overnight rating for Clemson’s dramatic win over Alabama in the CFP Championship game.  I haven’t seen the ESPN-only overnight rating but last year’s combined overnight was 16.0 (with 15.8 of it being on ESPN) so despite the great game the overnight rating…

Update: ESPN says the game averaged 26.2 million viewers across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPNU and ESPN Deportes with the mothership accounting for 25.7 million of it. Of course the CFP Championship led all of Monday with 33.4 million with ~34.1 million including all the Megacast channels measured by Nielsen. In the final numbers the household rating was adjusted down to an 18.2 rating. The 33.395 million viewers marked the most-watched program in cable television history (knocking off the Sugar Bowl from the semifinals).
