Update: the game averaged 16.7 million viewers on TV (17 million if you add in Fox Deportes and Fox Sports Go streaming), up 23% versus last year’s game 4 which drew 13.6 million. Update: in overnight ratings the Indians-Cubs World Series Game 5 easily topped the Eagles Cowboys 15.3 vs 11.6.  (Those numbers are not millions of viewers, but the percentage of homes tuned-in in the the biggest 56 markets in the USA.)  While there is no way to precisely project average viewership from the overnight numbers the World Series game should easily draw more than 20 million. Cubs-Indians World Series Game 3 draws best game 3 overnight rating since 2005

The Cleveland Indians 1-0 win over the Chicago Cubs in game 3 of the 2016 World Series to take a 2-1 lead in the series  drew a 12.4 overnight rating (on average 12.4 percent of the TVs in the largest 56 markets were tuned-in) per Fox Sports.
