Virginia beat Vanderbilt 4-2 to win the deciding third game of the series and its first-ever College World Series Championship and the game averaged 1.665 million viewers and a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating on ESPN to lead cable sports programming for the day. Virginia won the second game of the College World Series to force a third and final game with Vanderbilt and game two averaged 1.332 million viewers and a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating to lead cable sports programming for the day.
