Update: in preliminary timezone adjusted fast national Nielsen numbers Fox reports the Super Bowl averaged 113.7 including streaming and Fox Deportes with 111.3 million on just the Fox broadcast net. Since the historical comparisons only are TV #s, I’m using the 111.3 number making it the 5th most-watched all-time. Last night’s Super Bowl with the  New England Patriots dramatic comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons in the first Super Bowl to go to Overtime drew a 48.8/72 overnight household rating/share in Nielsen’s largest 56 markets., That’s  down .4 percent (less than half of 1%)  versus last year’s 49.0 for Denver’s blowout of the Carolina Panthers. Last night’s Super Bowl where the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks earned a 49.7/72 overnight household rating/share in Nielsen’s largest 56 markets.
