NBA All-Star Ratings Flat, Viewership down 4% (Updated)

The NBA All-Star game averaged 7.2 million viewers and a 4.3 household rating between the TNT telecast and TBS simulcast. This year’s numbers are even in terms of household rating and down 4% in viewership vs. last year when the game was not simulcast on TBS. Overnight ratings for NBA All-Star game up 12% vs. last year

Last night’s NBA All-Star game drew a 5.5 household rating – that’s up 12% over last year’s overnight rating. Last year’s game went head-to-head against the Winter Olympics, but this year’s game was simulcast on TBS. The 5.5 rating is a combined rating for TNT and TBS. NC State’s 34-27 victory over UCF in the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl led all cable sports networks (and all of cable) on the day after Christmas with 3.268 million viewers and a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating. Lakers/Bulls, Warriors/Clippers, Wizards/Knicks lead cable sports TV ratings for Thursday December 25, 2014

The Los Angeles Lakers vs. Chicago Bulls on TNT led all Christmas day viewership on the cable sports networks (and all of cable) averaging 4.04 million viewers and a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating.  The late Golden State Warriors vs. the Los Angeles Clippers game averaged 3.076 million viewers and a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating.
