“Undisputed” promos not eating into ad revenue, says Fox



Perception isn’t always reality. It seemed to me (and others) that there were so many promotions for “Undisputed” during Sunday NFL games on Fox and the MLB playoffs on FS1 that it was beyond the typical amount of promotional spots.

But Fox Sports marketing Executive Vice President Robert Gottlieb tweets that definitely isn’t the case:

So the promos might be eating into promotion for other Fox and FS1 programming (‘Pitch,’ ‘Lethal Weapon,’ ‘The Simpsons,’ ‘Fox Sports Live with Jay & Dan’ etc.) those spots could be used for, but they’re not eating into advertising time.

The promotions seem to be working. Undisputed had series-high viewership of 126,000 viewers on Wednesday.
